Wasa Ecotextil - a family business
Wasa Ecotextil is a Swedish company that was founded in 2008 and consists of two brands; Recycled by Wille & Classic Textiles of Sweden. We produce home textiles with the aim of having as little negative impact as possible on our surrounding world.
The fact that we are a small company is perhaps one of our greatest strengths. It gives us the opportunity to be flexible, courageous and to make quick decisions based on what we see works and what doesn't.
For us, it goes without saying that environmental awareness is also about taking social responsibility. We have a close relationship with the people who physically produce our products. That makes it personal. For real.
Recycled by Wille
There is a lot of talk about recycling, but few can do it like we do.
On an autumn day in 2012, work began on trying to develop a new manufacturing process that could recycle as much as possible of textile waste from other company's productions.
With the help of two engineers and students, after 7 years of work we are now able to produce, with the help of our long-standing colleagues and supplier in India, new interior textiles from 99% recycled material.
Classic textiles of Sweden
We are proud to have more than 100 organic products within bed and bath in our range. We also have a large selection of towels made from a bamboo and cotton blend, which is a renewable resource that requires little or no pesticides when farming.
In addition, most of our yarn-dyed products are dyed with environmentally friendly dyes, and the wastewater is treated biologically and then reused.
