The entire Recycled by Wille range is made from 99% recycled material and also some products from Classic Textiles of Sweden. We make use of what the planet's resources have already created.
We are proud to say that all products from Recycled by Wille are made from 99 percent recycled material - remnants of fabrics left over from previous productions. Most of our recycled products are a blend of 80% recycled cotton and 20% recycled polyester, but all duvet covers are a blend of 65% recycled cotton and 35% recycled polyester.
This type of textile recycling means that we collect, sort and make use of other company’s waste fabric that would otherwise have been incinerated. It is a huge saving on the earth's limited resources.
Reusing materials to this extent is sustainable in its true sense. By shopping circularly and choosing products made with recycled material, you are guaranteed to make a good choice for the environment.
For Example, we use 30% less energy and 50% less water in our production, compared with products made with 100% new materials, that's equal to 225,000 liters of water every day. That is as much water as 1,607 Swedes use at home each day. At the same time, you contribute to social responsibility and good working conditions for our colleagues in India.
Recycled by Wille creates new, environmentally friendly textile products without re-dyeing or adding any chemicals in the production process. In this way, we strive to have as little negative environmental impact as possible.
The Global Recycling Standard (GRS) is used as a tool and label for companies to check the quality, standard and quantity of recycled material of what they buy from, for example, a factory. It is also a label to ensure correct and honest communication for the consumer.
Oeko-Tex® 100 is a worldwide label for textile raw materials and end products. The certification guarantees that the finished product does not cause allergic problems or other health problems.
SEDEX certification means that we are members of the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange. It is a global and non-profit membership organization that drives improvements for responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains, including when it comes to work environment, recruitment, employee rights and compliance with environmental legislation.
